Traveling east-west on interstate 70 - exit 29 coming west, exit 29A coming east. Route 65 south, ten miles. Traveling north-south on interstate 81 - exit 1, route 68 east to route 65. Turn left on route 65 and travel 5 miles.

Assateague NS
Berlin, MD

Assateague's north entrance is at the end of Route 611, eight miles south of Ocean City, Md.. The south entrance is at the eastern terminus of Route 175, two miles from Chincoteague, VA. Daily, year-round; island open 24 hours in Maryland; 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. during daylight savings time in Virginia, with shorter hours during winter. Visitor centers open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. except closed Thanksgiving and Christmas days. (410) 641-1441

The park is three miles southeast of the Baltimore Inner Harbor and just off I-95. From northbound or southbound I-95, take exit 55 to Key Highway. From Key Highway turn left on Lawrence Street and left on Fort Avenue. Proceed one mile to the park. From the Baltimore Inner Harbor, take Light Street south to Fort Avenue. Greenbelt Park

Visitors traveling on I-95: exit number 22A Baltimore- Washington Parkway northbound, and take first exit to Greenbelt Road (Route 193) westbound. Follow Greenbelt Road for about one- half mile, and the park will be on the left side. Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (301) 344-3948

Hampton Hall NHS
Towson, Maryland

The park is accessible from the Baltimore Beltway I-695 via exits 27B and 28 North. In Towson take Dulaney Valley Road (MD 146) north across the Beltway and immediately turn right on Hampton Lane, which leads to the park. This is a dangerous intersection; be careful not to enter the Beltway ramps located adjacent to Hampton Lane. Daily, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (410) 823-1309

Monocacy NB

From I-270, take exit 26 at Urbana. Follow Route 80 east two-tenths of a mile to stop sign. Turn left onto Rt 355 north. Proceed 3.7 miles to Monocacy battlefield, on right. From I-70, take exit 54 (Market Street, Routes 85 and 355). Follow Route 355 south 3.75 miles to Monocacy battlefield on left. Open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., daily, Memorial Day to Labor Day.
